La Spinosa was established in Tuscany in 1982: a group of friends, almost
all of whom already had professional expertise in the farming sector and
already worked for other farms in the area, decided to do something
together. At Barberino Val D’Elsa, in Tuscany, midway between Florence
and Siena, they purchased some land that had been abandoned for years
and… started work.
After initially growing cereals and breeding livestock, the current vocation of the company, focussing on the cultivation of vines and olive trees, was soon established: wine and extra-virgin olive oil are now the main products of our company.
